The Peruvian National Commission for UNESCO invited to the public and private organizations in Peru: municipalities, tourist offices, public agencies, private sector media companies, individuals, amateurs, UNESCO Associated Schools, among others, to participate in the International Competition Audiovisual Heritage , which aims to promote audiovisual achievements on the topic of places and items of Tangible and Intangible Heritage of Humanity recognized by UNESCO.

The Municipality of Lima finished with the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the new Paseo Colón, leaving the traditional space and in his prime. Reconstruction and highlights the beauty of its monuments and decorations, including the statue of the discoverer of America, Don Cristobal Colon.
The work led by Mayor Luis Castañeda Lossio required an investment of approximately 6 million suns and included the rehabilitation and extension of tracks and paths, horizontal and vertical signaling, among other things that were executed within international standards for such historic public spaces.
and reconstruct 18 thousand square meters of tracks on the Paseo Colon and over 8 million square feet in the Plaza Bolognesi. Likewise, worked 1.500 square meters of road markings, which include letters symbols; 8000 meters painted linear dashed lines, curbs and vertical signs.
Among other works, stand enhancing the central berm, to the rehabilitation floor, improved lighting and installation of ornamental poles and recovery of the beautiful statues that adorn the Paseo Colon.
The work has allowed substantial improvements in vehicular and pedestrian traffic and the revaluation of buildings and museums Instead, as in the case of the Lima Art Museum and the Museum of Military History Studies, as well as parks and Exhibition of the Museum.
Thus, the Paseo Colon returns to its old brilliance and becomes attractive tourist center, which connects the Plaza Grau and Bolognesi Plaza.
